This is a very rare vehicle with only 30,000 manufactured. Its likeness to the Rover 75 may be unequivocal with its true luxury, classic British styling, but the purpose-built MG ZT 190 delivers on being a very sporty drive.

 

When the Rover 75 Saloon was launched in Italy – it won the accolade of being the ‘Most Beautiful Car’. From their restyled deep front grilles to their aerodynamic silhouettes, the Saloon follows the Rover ethos of 'design integrity', where each individual portion of a car's form is made to balance and complement the whole.

 

All the chassis elements of the Rover 75 have been radically uprated for the ZT 190 - firm spring rates, engine and subframe mounts, and a quicker 16.4:1 steering rack improve suspension control and handling characteristics.

Unique MG-style 18-inch alloy wheels combine with lowered suspension to give a road-hugging stance and 325mm front discs are backed by uprated four-channel ABS system.

The motor is a new version of MG Rover’s light alloy, quad cam 2,5-litre V6 unit, developing 140kW mated with a Getrag five-speed manual box. Induction and exhaust systems have been modified with larger intakes and tubing with improved flow and less back pressure.

The front-end appearance of the ZT190 is dominated by a bold body-coloured MG grille with bright mesh and a deep airdam. An aerodynamic rear spoiler reportedly reduces aerodynamic lift and the rear bumper incorporates twin large-bore bright exhaust pipes within a stainless steel heatshield.

The interior focuses on a clean, sporting look with the fascia and console finished in rhodium silver and matching silver instruments. The fully adjustable steering wheel, with the traditional MG octagon badge, plus gearshift and handbrake are covered in perforated black leather.

Electric adjustable sports seats are trimmed in black and grey Alcantara leather. Luxury features include air conditioning with pollen filter, six airbags and a six speaker CD audio system.

The MG ZT190 is covered by a two year/unlimited km Full Parts & Labour Warranty, covering items up to $5000 per item per claim with unlimited claims allowable.
