Renewal
always entails the presence of the Ruach HaKadosh, the Spirit of Yahweh in our midst, working to change lives and restore
what has been lost. Ezekiel foresees a future renewal that
involves both a visitation of the Spirit and a return to Torah. "I will give you a new heart and put a new
spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My (Ruach) Spirit
within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them"
(Ezekiel 36:26-27).
We can seek this same two-fold restoration today. "Turn us, O YHWH,
to You and we shall return. Renew our days as of old!" - Ekhah (Lamentations)
