Hidden truth about Israeli control of American Media - Part 1
The film provides a striking comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the Middle East, zeroing
in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict" and
which "analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the Israeli occupation of the West Bank
and Gaza remains hidden in the news media". The film argues that the influence of pro-Israel media watchdog groups, such as
CAMERA and Honest Reporting, has led to distorted and pro-Israel media reports.

Al Jazeera Exposes Israeli Use of White Phosphorus on Civilians
1/11/09 Al Jazeera's David Foster asked Israeli PM's spokeperson Mark Regev if they were using showers of white phosphorus
on the civilian population in Gaza. He skirted around the question, and asked Al Jazeera to pose that question to the spokesperson
of the IDF instead. She evaded the question, but didn't deny the use of it. Since the use of white phosphorous on a civilian
population amounts to a war crime, and any military force would willingly dismiss such an allegation if it were false, we're
left to conclude that it is being used. Objective observers, including observers from Human Rights Watch, have already concluded
that white phosphorus is being used. White Phosphorus burns in air, and on contact will burn through flesh to the bone. The
gas released from it as it burns causes corrosive clouds that are extremely poisonous. The audio gradually goes way out of
sync, but do listen through. American media outlets are blinding their audiences to what's going on. That's particularly atrocious
given it's their tax-dollars that's funding these crimes against humanity.

Israel criticised over alleged use of white phosphorus - 11 Jan 2009
Human rights groups are calling on Israel to stop using white phosphorus in its war on Gaza. The use of the deadly chemical
in wars is only legal in areas that are not densely populated by civilians, Human Rights Watch says. Al Jazeera's Ayman
Mohyeldin reports from the burns unit at Shifa hospital in Gaza.

Dr Norman Finkelstein on Israel and Noam Chomsky
17 May 2010
Israel has refused to permit Noam Chomsky, linquist and philosopher to enter the occupied West Bank from Jordan. Some
argue that Chomsky, an 81-year-old professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, could pose a risk to Israel.
Dr Norman Finkelstein says that Israel has been exposed to the world during the Gaza conflict and now feels threatened.

Turkish PM Erdogan Slams Shimon Peres For Israeli Killings And Walks Off Stage
29 January 2009 - World Economic Forum The Turkish prime minister, Mr. Erdogan, stormed out of a heated debate
at the World Economic Forum in Davos after slamming the position of Israeli President, Mr. Shimon Peres, over Israel's offensive
in the Gaza Strip. Recep Tayyip Erdogan walked out of the televised debate on Thursday, after the moderator refused to
allow him to rebut the Israeli president's justification about the war that left about 1,300 Gazans dead. Before storming
out, Erdogan told Shimon Peres, the Israeli president: "You are killing people." Peres told Erdogan during the heated panel
discussion that he would have acted in the same manner if rockets had been falling on Istanbul. Moderator David Ignatius,
a Washington Post columnist, then told Erdogan that he had "only a minute" to respond to a lengthy monologe by Pires. Erdogan
said: "I find it very sad that people applaud what you said. There have been many people killed. And I think that it is very
wrong and it is not humanitarian." Ignatius twice attempted to finish the debate, saying, "We really do need to get people
to dinner." Erdogan then said: "Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I don't think I will come
back to Davos after this."
Turkey's response to Israel over Gaza flotilla attack: Don't test our patience
1 Jun 2010 - Erdogan to Israel: Don't test our patience Turkish
prime minister calls IDF's operation against flotilla to Gaza 'massacre', 'state terror', 'piracy'; says Israelis must pressure
gov't to cease such acts.
During a speech before the Turkish parliament in Ankara, Erdogan said the flotilla was legal,
and the operation against it was a violation of the spirit of the UN. He added that the unjustified attack against the flotilla
was "a blow to world peace and against international law."
"Turkey's friendship is as strong as its animosity," he
said. "The Israeli nation must pressure its government to cease such acts. All detainees must be released, including parliament
members and the 60 Turkish journalists. Israel will not be able to show itself in the world until it apologizes for what happened
and undergoes self-criticism. It is destroying its alliances one after the other."
Due to the flotilla events, Erdogan
cut short his visit to South America and returned to Ankara. During talks with Chilean reporters before his return, he said
the events were "state terror" and called for an emergency NATO meeting to discuss the escalation. "This operation, which
is completely against international law, is an act of inhuman state terror," he said. "Don't think that we'll sit by in silence
after such events."
